Summertime is here! What better way to celebrate warm weather than slipping into your favorite pair of slides. Summer sales are a great way to clear out old stock and make room for new products that are hitting the shelves in autumn. Progressive discounting and the use of email campaigns are a great way to achieve your sale goals.

Brand Overview

SUAVS shoes were designed for going anywhere and doing anything. The only thing that matters more to SUAVS than creating comfortable shoes is making sure they’re crafted with the planet in mind. Each pair of SUAVS is made using an average of 8 plastic water bottles and can be washed or packed flat for easy travel. SUAVS brand voice is motivating, enthusiastic, and energetic- just like the people who wear them.

Project Ownership

I managed the completion of the “Eddy Slide” campaign from beginning to “send”, owning all aspects of the project including the creation of templates in Klaviyo. This project required me to produce content, copy, and creative autonomously. I also was in charge of list segmenting and reporting for this initiative.

Challenges

While some of SUAVS other styles fly off the shelves with relative ease, The Eddy Slide was not making as much of a splash as we’d hoped. In order to make room for new summer styles, we needed to clear remaining stock of The Eddy Slides. While discounting makes a difference when it comes to moving products, it takes more than a sale to sweeten the deal. The goal of this campaign was to educate customers on what makes The Eddy Slides as suited for their needs as other popular styles.

Results

  • 45% average open rate across all three campaigns.

  • 4.5% CTR across all three campaigns.

  • Sold out 90% of remaining stock in a matter of two weeks.
