Sinking More Sales With PrimePutt

Brand Overview

PrimePutt is a high-growth eCommerce brand that specializes in premium golf putting mats. PrimePutt has been featured in ESPN, ABC, NBC, Golf Insider, and other reputable publications for its tour-grade putting mats that are recommended by PGA legends and amateurs alike.

Project Ownership

I owned the project from inception to send and completed all facets of it independently. I also took ownership over ongoing optimizations and analysis, as well as providing consultative services to PrimePutt’s CEO on lifecycle strategy.

Project Overview + Challenges

PrimePutt’s previous welcome and abandoned cart workflows were not optimized, and it showed in their performance. They were not leveraging personalization or design best-practices, and neglected to include valuable content from influencers on YouTube and Instagram. It was my job to make the flows more timely, personalized, and truer to the brand.

Additionally, PrimePutt had a pop-up live on their website to collect emails addresses. However, it was only performing at a 3% submit form rate. I owned the strategy and execution of a new, more engaging pop-up.

Results

Welcome Series: The welcome series saw a significant jump in performance in the new version compared to the previous version. For ease, here are the results for email #1:

  • Old Variation (Left):

    • 79.3% open rate

    • 19% CTR

    • 5.3% CVR

    • $12.83 revenue per recipient

  • New Variation (Right):

    • 83.3% open rate

    • 46.6% CTR (+142%)

    • 14.6% CVR (+183%)

    • $31.22 revenue per recipient (+143%)

Abandoned Cart Series: The abandoned cart series also saw a significant jump in performance in the new version compared to the previous version. For ease, here are the results for email #1:

  • Old Variation (Left):

    • 52.3% open rate

    • 6.2% CTR

    • 4.1% CVR

    • $10.31 revenue per recipient

  • New Variation (Right):

    • 72.3% open rate (+38%)

    • 11.5% CTR (+85%)

    • 8.4% CVR (+104%)

    • $29.88 revenue per recipient (+190%)
